Product sales for their first year of operation totaled $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Throughout five years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 staff and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Now, Cascade is amongst the top global makers within the material handling business.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Richardson the next manufacturing plant was built. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. with locations in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Richardson. Cascade products are manufactured internationally because of many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This facility is built to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after acquiring five companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in blades.
